Where do I begin? I graduated Baruch College's Zicklin School of Business with a four-year degree in marketing management in 2015. I enjoyed working in marketing and sales in both start-up and corporate environments. In 2019, I left a great job as a product specialist at a top real estate firm in Manhattan in search of my next adventure. While I was satisfied with helping agents learn how to optimize their business tools, I knew that I wanted to do so much more with my life when it came to helping others.
I formed Nirvani Brown Art, LLC in early 2020 and created nirvanibrown.com in early 2021. Starting in 2022, I transitioned my business into a for-profit company that helps to raise money for organizations that fight against human trafficking. While I am not a victim myself, I know firsthand how it feels to be violated and all of the shame, hurt, and depression that comes with that. Luckily with God, loved ones, and art, I am able to heal and encourage others to recognize their own worthiness.
In my art practice, I infuse botanical inspirations with my subjects. I nature-walk regularly and being connected to nature just brings me joy. I work with different mediums including watercolor, ink, acrylic and with different surfaces like paper and wood panel. My pieces can take between a few days to a week to finish because I have an attention for detail and quality. My hope is that my art brings feelings of calmness and creativity to its owner and also allows us to reflect on our duty to alleviate the suffering of others if we can.
I currently live and operate my online shop in Long Island, New York.
